Le Ricerche

Il progetto Activating MAAT e il suo Living Lab sulle Nanotecnologie coinvolge ricercatori che afferiscono a strutture anche molto distanti fra di loro. Le esperienze dei ricercatori e dei gruppi che hanno partecipato al progetto sono ben rappresentate dalle ricerche di cui sono stati protagonisti. Attraverso le collaborazioni attivate nel progetto, la Community può avere accesso a strutture di alto livello:

  • laboratori per la crescita di semiconduttori inorganici (MBE, MOCVD e sputtering) e per la deposizione di sostanze organiche;
  • linee di nanofabbricazione (EBL, ICP-RIE, allineatori di maschere/generatori, soft litografia e nano-imprinting);
  • apparecchiature di caratterizzazione, con XRD, SEM-FEG con un sensore EDXS, 6 AFMs, un UHV-STM, e un nuovo sistema che unisce AFM, con focale e microscopia TIRF;
  • laboratori di chimica per la sintesi e la caratterizzazione di nanocristalli colloidali e sostanze organiche;
  • laboratori di biotecnologia per la cultura di cellule batteriche e animali, e biochimica / biologia molecolare;
  • una struttura di calcolo ad alte prestazioni con i server e cluster per 4 Tflops.
